A company we've confirmed is a real, licensed carrier from public records — but that hasn't gone through our certification review.
Why we keep them separate
Plenty of legitimate, licensed movers exist that we simply haven't put through our full certification process — large national carriers among them. We could either ignore them, or pretend a light check is the same as full certification. We don't do either. Instead we verify what we can confirm — that a company is real and properly licensed — and label it honestly as Verified, separate from the movers that have actually earned certification.
That keeps the gold seal meaningful. When you see ✓ CMR Certified Approved, it's a pick we've vetted end to end. When you see ✓ CMR Verified, it's an honest "this is a real, licensed company" — no more, no less.

What "Verified" covers
A Verified mark confirms the essentials: the company is a real, operating carrier with active interstate authority and licensing on file with the FMCSA — not a broker front or a lapsed operation. National carriers you may recognize are exactly the kind of companies that can be Verified without (yet) being Certified:

- Treat Verified as a green light to keep looking, not a finish line — compare it against certified picks and get written quotes.
- Either way, verify the basics yourself — every company we list shows its USDOT number so you can confirm licensing directly.
